Christmas Gift Guide for the Home

Christmas is coming.

Yes, it’s November, but I’m so excited for Christmas and have already started my shopping.

The festive season turns me into a child and I love running around the shops, picking out things which I know my family and friends will love.

One of my favourite things about Christmas is going home. There’s nothing like a cosy winter, snuggled on the sofa with your family.

Here’s a Christmas Gift Guide to make your home that little bit more lovely:

Candles are a great way to make your home seem warm and welcoming, especially when it is dark and cold outside.

Rowen & Wren have a lovely range of candles and candle holders on their site, including this cute zinc holder.

The little box carries candles in it and doubles up as a holder. The holder also comes in brass too, giving it a perfect a traditional feel.

You can get them for £14 here.

If you’re looking for a candle that smells the part, That Charming Shop has a huge variety of different candles made from pure soy wax.

All their candles are vegan-friendly, cruelty-free and ethically sourced.

I chose the Gingerbread Home Candle which smells divine and makes the whole room smell festive.

You can get them for £36 here.

Another essential item for creating a cosy home is cushions, lots of them!

Andrea Fay’s is a small family brand that makes lovely personalised cushions. They make perfect gifts, with a thoughtful customised touch.

You can get this one for £20 here.

I’m a big fan of horses and inspirational quotes, so this cushion from the Freddie Parker range is perfect for me!

Its 100% drill cotton and comes in a lovely duck egg blue.

You can get it for £25 here.

And it wouldn’t be home without a cup of tea.

Bespoke Verse has poetry-themed gifts, including fun mugs which make great gifts. This ‘Killing Time Before Wine’ perfectly captures how a lot of us feel during the Christmas period!

You can check out their mugs for £12 here.

And, for true tea lovers, Victoria Mae Designs creates these cute teabags with quotes from your favourite books, in keeping with the literary theme.

I chose Alice in Wonderland, which always reminds me of home as my dad used to read it to me when I was younger, but they also have Jane Austen, Sherlock Holmes and so many more.

You can get them from £7.50 here.

Tis the season for spending time with your loved ones. If you can’t make it for a visit, and what you want to say is too long for a card, give them a call.

I hate having long chats on my mobile so this fun phone from Red Candy is perfect for the home.

You can get it for £37 here.

Cosy floors make those winter nights all the warmer. This rug from Hug Rug is so fluffy and doubles up perfectly as a flatlay background.

They are manufactured in the UK, using recycled content and are designed to have a light environmental footprint – they are also 100% recyclable too!

You can get this one for £29.99 here.

Another lovely touch to a room at Christmas is with lights.

Find Me A Gift has such a huge range of presents but these Scrabble fairy lights were the top of my list. You can change the letters too and use them all year round.

You can get them in the sale for £14.99 here.

Or, if you’d like to make the message a little longer, this speech bubble lamp is perfect for making a room special and leaving notes for your loved ones.

You can get it in the sale for £13.99 here.

I rarely buy flowers but, when I do, they make the room. As a gift, they make anyone feel special, leaving a pretty little reminder for days afterwards.

Beards & Daises make gorgeous hand-tied bouquets to order. You select your flowers online and they deliver them, they even have packaging which fits through the letterbox!

You can get this White Christmas bouquet for £34.99 here.

And when you’re all cuddled up on the sofa watching your favourite Christmas film (mine’s Love Actually), the best thing to have nearby is a soft throw.

Ville & Campagne sell these pure merino wool sofa throws, ideal for staying snug over Christmas.

You can get them for £94 here

In a digital age, people barely ever print out photos. A framed photo is one of my go-to presents for any occasion as it is thoughtful but doesn’t break the bank.

This solid copper print from Oakdene Designs is great because you can customise the picture with your own caption.

You can get it for £19 here

I’m forever losing my rings over Christmas, as I move from home to home visiting people. This cute elephant rose gold ring holder makes the perfect stocking filler and is practical too!

You can get it for £10.99 here

And the perfect way to decorate your home over Christmas is with festive cards and prints.

JollySmith has a great range of designs on their site. I love their ‘Delicious Map of Great Britain’ print and their fun cards.

You can get the cards for £2.50 here and the print for £15 here

So that’s my pick of homewares for the holidays. I’ll be back soon with my gifts for travel fans and professionals.

Thanks for reading and happy Xmas shopping!
